英語で電話インタビューをやってみた

うめじ英語塾の遠隔指導、今週は気分転換に新規プロジェクトをやっています。月曜日(2020年5月4日)に、生徒様に以下のような課題をお示ししました。英語塾なので指示も英語です(笑)。

This week we are going to embark on a new project. Please read the following instructions carefully.

The goal of this project is to write a 150-word passage about Tetsuro Umeji. You will ask him questions, write a profile, and share it with your fellow juku students.

OK. Let’s start. Please write 20 questions you may want to ask him and send them to me. Try to come up with interesting questions.

要するに、梅地哲郎さんに関する150語の記事を書くという企画ですが、読むばっかりだと飽きるので、次のステップは指示を英語で聴き取ることから始まります。

この指示の内容を書き出すと、次のようになっています。

そんなわけで、昨日(2020年5月6日)までに全ての電話取材が終わりました。生徒様は梅地哲郎さんに電話でインタビューをして、お一人あたり10分程度、英語しか話せません。電話なので様子は見えませんでしたが、彼が答えた内容を聴き取ってメモしたはずです。

現在、生徒様の書いた記事が続々とわたしのもとに届いています(笑)。
